ABOUT BOU-SAADA

Bou-saada is a pilgrimage town in Algeria built around an oasis. With "Bou" meaning father and "saada" peace and happiness, it is a place where visitors find spiritual refreshment, goodness and a sense of well-being.

Bought in 1996 the 100 acre property, Bou-saada, is now home to a 13 acre vineyard which began with plantings of Sauvignon Blanc vines in 1997 followed by Merlot, Chardonnay and Riesling in 1998. In 2001, a further 7 acres were prepared for planting out in 2002 adding Pinot Noir, Tempranillo and Cabernet Franc.

The mixed variety vineyard enables Bou-saada to produce a wide-range of exclusive wines from their own grapes.
